The gauge base is a threaded 2" NPT with a rubber "O Ring" for sealing. It needs to be mounted on one of the threaded adapters provided with the tank with no need for pipe dope or Teflon tape on the threads. Must be hand tightened only. String and float must be released slowly during installation to prevent damage to the gearing or loosening the line off the reel. Housing design and color may differ depending on tank model.
